- OVERVIEW

God has prepared an eternal home for everyone who trusts in Jesus. Although this world is filled with pain, suffering, and uncertainty, the Bible points us to a glorious future where sin and death will never exist again. This week we will look beyond the struggles of today and focus on the wonderful promise of eternity. As we keep our eyes on Jesus, He gives us hope, strength, and confidence while we wait for His return.

- SATURDAY – Introduction

- Memory Text

1 John 3:2
KJV 2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. CEV 2 My dear friends, we are already God's children, though what we will be hasn't yet been seen. But we do know when Christ returns, we will be like him, because we will see him as he truly is.

- Lesson

The future can sometimes seem uncertain or even frightening. We do not know exactly what tomorrow will bring, but we know the One who holds tomorrow.

Jesus has promised that He will never leave His people – Hebrews 13:5
KJV 5 Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. CEV 5 Don't fall in love with money. Be satisfied with what you have. The Lord has promised that he will not leave us or desert us.
..His promises have always proved true, and He will faithfully complete His work.

Although difficult times will come before Christ returns – Matthew 24:21-22
KJV 21 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. 22 And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened. CEV 21 This will be the worst time of suffering since the beginning of the world, and nothing this terrible will ever happen again. 22 If God doesn't make the time shorter, no one will be left alive. But because of God's chosen ones, he will make the time shorter.
..God calls us to remain faithful, knowing that those who endure to the end will be saved – Matthew 24:13
KJV 13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. CEV 13 But if you keep on being faithful right to the end, you will be saved.
.

As we keep our eyes on Jesus instead of the troubles around us, He fills our hearts with hope and peace. Heaven is not simply a beautiful place—it is where we will finally be with the One who created us, redeemed us, and loves us forever.

- EGW Notes (Paraphrased)

Ellen White reminds us that this world is only temporary. Soon Christ will return and every person will receive the reward of the life they have chosen.

God calls us to prepare our hearts today. As we allow the Holy Spirit to transform us, we become ready to live forever in His presence and to reflect His love to others.

- Conclusion

The closer we come to Jesus today, the more eagerly we will look forward to spending eternity with Him.

- Reflection

Why can Christians face the future with confidence?

Why is it important to keep our attention on Jesus rather than on the troubles around us?

- SUNDAY – Living Today

- Lesson

The signs around us remind us that Jesus is coming soon – Matthew 24:6-11
KJV 6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. 7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. 8 All these are the beginning of sorrows. 9 Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake. 10 And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another. 11 And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. CEV 6 You will soon hear about wars and threats of wars, but don't be afraid. These things will have to happen first, but that isn't the end. 7 Nations and kingdoms will go to war against each other. People will starve to death, and in some places there will be earthquakes. 8 But this is just the beginning of troubles. 9 You will be arrested, punished, and even killed. Because of me, you will be hated by people of all nations. 10 Many will give up and will betray and hate each other. 11 Many false prophets will come and fool a lot of people.
..Wars, disasters, and growing wickedness all point to the nearness of His return.

Yet our greatest preparation is not simply understanding prophecy. It is developing a close, personal relationship with Jesus every day.

Life is uncertain and passes quickly – James 4:13-14
KJV 13 Go to now, ye that say, To day or to morrow we will go into such a city, and continue there a year, and buy and sell, and get gain: 14 Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away. CEV 13 You should know better than to say, “Today or tomorrow we will go to the city. We will do business there for a year and make a lot of money!” 14 What do you know about tomorrow? How can you be so sure about your life? It is nothing more than mist that appears for only a little while before it disappears.
..Because we do not know what tomorrow holds, today is the time to seek God with all our hearts.

Psalm 80
KJV 1 Give ear, O Shepherd of Israel, thou that leadest Joseph like a flock; thou that dwellest between the cherubims, shine forth. 2 Before Ephraim and Benjamin and Manasseh stir up thy strength, and come and save us. 3 Turn us again, O God, and cause thy face to shine; and we shall be saved. 4 O Lord God of hosts, how long wilt thou be angry against the prayer of thy people? 5 Thou feedest them with the bread of tears; and givest them tears to drink in great measure. 6 Thou makest us a strife unto our neighbours: and our enemies laugh among themselves. 7 Turn us again, O God of hosts, and cause thy face to shine; and we shall be saved. 8 Thou hast brought a vine out of Egypt: thou hast cast out the heathen, and planted it. 9 Thou preparedst room before it, and didst cause it to take deep root, and it filled the land. 10 The hills were covered with the shadow of it, and the boughs thereof were like the goodly cedars. 11 She sent out her boughs unto the sea, and her branches unto the river. 12 Why hast thou then broken down her hedges, so that all they which pass by the way do pluck her? 13 The boar out of the wood doth waste it, and the wild beast of the field doth devour it. 14 Return, we beseech thee, O God of hosts: look down from heaven, and behold, and visit this vine; 15 And the vineyard which thy right hand hath planted, and the branch that thou madest strong for thyself. 16 It is burned with fire, it is cut down: they perish at the rebuke of thy countenance. 17 Let thy hand be upon the man of thy right hand, upon the son of man whom thou madest strong for thyself. 18 So will not we go back from thee: quicken us, and we will call upon thy name. 19 Turn us again, O Lord God of hosts, cause thy face to shine; and we shall be saved. CEV (A psalm by Asaph for the music leader. To the tune “Lilies of the Agreement.” ) 1 Shepherd of Israel, you lead the descendants of Joseph, and you sit on your throne above the winged creatures. Listen to our prayer and let your light shine 2 for the tribes of Ephraim, Benjamin, and Manasseh. Save us by your power. 3 Our God, make us strong again! Smile on us and save us. 4 Lord God All-Powerful, how much longer will the prayers of your people make you angry? 5 You gave us tears for food, and you made us drink them by the bowlful. 6 Because of you, our enemies who live nearby laugh and joke about us. 7 Our God, make us strong again! Smile on us and save us. 8 We were like a grapevine you brought out of Egypt. You chased other nations away and planted us here. 9 Then you cleared the ground, and we put our roots deep, spreading over the land. 10 Shade from this vine covered the mountains. Its branches climbed the mighty cedars 11 and stretched to the sea; its new growth reached to the river. 12 Our Lord, why have you torn down the wall from around the vineyard? You let everyone who walks by pick the grapes. 13 Now the vine is gobbled up by pigs from the forest and other wild animals. 14 God All-Powerful, please do something! Look down from heaven and see what's happening to this vine. 15 With your own hands you planted its roots, and you raised it as your very own. 16 Enemies chopped the vine down and set it on fire. Now show your anger and destroy them. 17 But help the one who sits at your right side, the one you raised to be your very own. 18 Then we will never turn away. Put new life into us, and we will worship you. 19 Lord God All-Powerful, make us strong again! Smile on us and save us.
is a heartfelt prayer asking God to restore His people and renew their relationship with Him. Its message is still meaningful for us today.

1. A Prayer for God's Help – Psalm 80:1-3

The psalm begins by asking God, the Shepherd of Israel, to hear His people and shine upon them once again.

2. Remembering God's Care – Psalm 80:4-13
KJV 500 Internal Server Error nginx CEV 4 Lord God All-Powerful, how much longer will the prayers of your people make you angry?

The psalm recalls how God cared for His people like a fruitful vine, yet they wandered away and suffered because they turned from Him.

3. A Prayer for Restoration – Psalm 80:14-19
KJV 14 Return, we beseech thee, O God of hosts: look down from heaven, and behold, and visit this vine; 15 And the vineyard which thy right hand hath planted, and the branch that thou madest strong for thyself. CEV 14 God All-Powerful, please do something!

The writer pleads for God to restore His people so they will remain faithful and continue praising Him.

Like the psalmist, we all need God's restoring power. No matter how long we have followed Jesus, we should continually ask Him to renew our hearts and strengthen our faith.

God still desires to shine His face upon His children – Psalm 80:19
KJV 19 Turn us again, O Lord God of hosts, cause thy face to shine; and we shall be saved. CEV 19 Lord God All-Powerful, make us strong again! Smile on us and save us.
..When we trust in Christ's righteousness rather than our own, we can live with confidence in His saving grace.

- EGW Notes (Paraphrased)

Ellen White explains that when Christ's love fills the heart, it cannot remain hidden. Those who know Jesus naturally want others to know Him too.

As we draw closer to Christ, His love changes our attitudes, our priorities, and our relationships. His Spirit helps us become a blessing to everyone around us.

- Conclusion

The safest place to be is walking closely with Christ every day.

- Reflection

Why is it important to seek God every day instead of waiting until later?

- MONDAY – Our Blessed Hope

- Lesson

From the moment sin entered the world, God promised that a Saviour would come. Jesus fulfilled that promise at His first coming, and He has also promised to return for His people – John 14:1-3
KJV 1 Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. 2 In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. CEV 1 Jesus said to his disciples, “Don't be worried! Have faith in God and have faith in me. 2 There are many rooms in my Father's house. I wouldn't tell you this, unless it was true. I am going there to prepare a place for each of you. 3 After I have done this, I will come back and take you with me. Then we will be together.
..His second coming is the blessed hope of every Christian.

The Bible describes Christ's return as a real, visible event that will bring an end to sin, suffering, and death. This promise gives believers courage to remain faithful during difficult times.

Paul encouraged Christians to comfort one another with this wonderful hope.

Read 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18
KJV 500 Internal Server Error nginx CEV 13 My friends, we want you to understand how it will be for those followers who have already died. Then you won't grieve over them and be like people who don't have any hope. 14 We believe Jesus died and was raised to life. We also believe that when God brings Jesus back again, he will bring with him all who had faith in Jesus before they died. 15 Our Lord Jesus told us that when he comes, we won't go up to meet him ahead of his followers who have already died. 16 With a loud command and with the shout of the chief angel and a blast of God's trumpet, the Lord will return from heaven. Then those who had faith in Christ before they died will be raised to life. 17 Next, all of us who are still alive will be taken up into the clouds together with them to meet the Lord in the sky. From that time on we will all be with the Lord forever. 18 Encourage each other with these words.

1. Hope Beyond Death – 1 Thessalonians 4:13-14
KJV 13 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. 14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. CEV 13 My friends, we want you to understand how it will be for those followers who have already died. Then you won't grieve over them and be like people who don't have any hope. 14 We believe Jesus died and was raised to life. We also believe that when God brings Jesus back again, he will bring with him all who had faith in Jesus before they died.

Believers do not grieve without hope because Jesus died and rose again, and those who have died in Him will also be raised.

2. Jesus Returns in Glory – 1 Thessalonians 4:15-16
KJV 15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. 16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: CEV 15 Our Lord Jesus told us that when he comes, we won't go up to meet him ahead of his followers who have already died. 16 With a loud command and with the shout of the chief angel and a blast of God's trumpet, the Lord will return from heaven. Then those who had faith in Christ before they died will be raised to life.

The Lord descends from heaven with a shout, the voice of the archangel, and the trumpet of God, and the righteous dead are raised first.

3. The Saved Are Gathered Together – 1 Thessalonians 4:17
KJV 500 Internal Server Error nginx CEV 17 Next, all of us who are still alive will be taken up into the clouds together with them to meet the Lord in the sky. From that time on we will all be with the Lord forever.

Living believers join the resurrected saints to meet Jesus in the air and remain with Him forever.

4. A Message of Comfort – 1 Thessalonians 4:18
KJV 500 Internal Server Error nginx CEV 18 Encourage each other with these words.

Paul encourages believers to strengthen one another with this wonderful promise.

Jesus' return is not something to fear. It is the joyful hope of everyone who has placed their trust in Him.

The promise of Christ's return gives us courage to remain faithful – Titus 2:11-13
KJV 11 For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, 12 Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; 13 Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; CEV 11 God has shown us undeserved grace by coming to save all people. 12 He taught us to give up our wicked ways and our worldly desires and to live decent and honest lives in this world. 13 We are filled with hope, as we wait for the glorious return of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ.
..Every day brings us one step closer to seeing our Saviour face to face.

- EGW Notes (Paraphrased)

Ellen White explains that God's people have always looked forward to Christ's return. This hope has strengthened believers through persecution, hardship, and disappointment.

Keeping our eyes on eternity helps us place the difficulties of this life into their proper perspective. Soon Jesus will come to take His children home.

- TUESDAY – A New Heaven and a New Earth

- Lesson

God never intended this world to remain filled with pain, sickness, sorrow, and death. From the beginning, His plan was for His children to live in perfect happiness with Him.

The Bible ends with the wonderful promise that God will create a new heaven and a new earth where sin will never exist again.

John was given a beautiful vision of that future home.

Read Revelation 21:1-7
KJV 1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. 2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. 3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. 4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. 5 And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful. 6 And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely. 7 He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son. CEV 1 I saw a new heaven and a new earth. The first heaven and the first earth had disappeared, and so had the sea. 2 Then I saw New Jerusalem, the holy city, coming down from God in heaven. It was like a bride dressed in her wedding gown and ready to meet her husband. 3 I heard a loud voice shout from the throne: God's home is now with his people. He will live with them, and they will be his own. Yes, God will make his home among his people. 4 He will wipe all tears from their eyes, and there will be no more death, suffering, crying, or pain. These things of the past are gone forever. 5 Then the one sitting on the throne said: I am making everything new. Write down what I have said. My words are true and can be trusted. 6 Everything is finished! I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will freely give water from the life-giving fountain to everyone who is thirsty. 7 All who win the victory will be given these blessings. I will be their God, and they will be my people.

1. A New Creation – Revelation 21:1
KJV 1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. CEV 1 I saw a new heaven and a new earth. The first heaven and the first earth had disappeared, and so had the sea.

John sees a new heaven and a new earth after the former things have passed away.

2. The Holy City Appears – Revelation 21:2
KJV 2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. CEV 2 Then I saw New Jerusalem, the holy city, coming down from God in heaven. It was like a bride dressed in her wedding gown and ready to meet her husband.

The New Jerusalem comes down from God, prepared like a bride beautifully dressed for her husband.

3. God Lives With His People – Revelation 21:3
KJV 3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. CEV 3 I heard a loud voice shout from the throne: God's home is now with his people. He will live with them, and they will be his own. Yes, God will make his home among his people.

God dwells with His redeemed people, and they enjoy His presence forever.

4. Sorrow Comes to an End – Revelation 21:4
KJV 4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. CEV 4 He will wipe all tears from their eyes, and there will be no more death, suffering, crying, or pain. These things of the past are gone forever.

Death, pain, crying, and suffering are completely removed.

5. God Makes Everything New – Revelation 21:5-7
KJV 5 And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. CEV 5 Then the one sitting on the throne said: I am making everything new.

God promises a new beginning and gives the inheritance of eternal life to those who overcome through faith.

Everything that sin has broken will one day be completely restored. God's eternal kingdom will never again be touched by pain or sorrow.

Our greatest joy will not simply be living in a beautiful place. It will be living forever with Jesus – Revelation 21:3
Yes, God will make his home among his people.
..His presence is what truly makes heaven our home.

- EGW Notes (Paraphrased)

Ellen White describes the new earth as a place of perfect peace, beauty, joy, and fellowship with God.

The redeemed will never again experience pain, temptation, or death. Throughout eternity they will continue learning more about God's love and enjoying His presence.

- Conclusion

The greatest promise of heaven is that we will live forever with Jesus.

- Reflection

What part of the new earth do you most look forward to?

Reveal Suggested Answer

Why does the promise of the new earth give us hope today?

- WEDNESDAY – Face to Face

- Lesson

The greatest joy of heaven will not be its beauty or even eternal life itself. Our greatest joy will be seeing Jesus face to face.

Throughout history, God's people have longed for the day when faith will become sight. Every sacrifice made for Christ will seem small compared with the joy of finally being with Him.

John describes the wonderful privilege awaiting God's redeemed people.

Read Revelation 22:1-5
KJV 1 And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb. 2 In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. 3 And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him: 4 And they shall see his face; and his name shall be in their foreheads. 5 And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever. CEV 1 The angel showed me a river that was crystal clear, and its waters gave life. The river came from the throne where God and the Lamb were seated. 2 Then it flowed down the middle of the city's main street. On each side of the river are trees that grow a different kind of fruit each month of the year. The fruit gives life, and the leaves are used as medicine to heal the nations. 3 God's curse will no longer be on the people of that city. He and the Lamb will be seated there on their thrones, and its people will worship God 4 and will see him face to face. God's name will be written on the foreheads of the people. 5 Never again will night appear, and no one who lives there will ever need a lamp or the sun. The Lord God will be their light, and they will rule forever.

1. The River of Life – Revelation 22:1
KJV 500 Internal Server Error nginx CEV 1 The angel showed me a river that was crystal clear, and its waters gave life. The river came from the throne where God and the Lamb were seated.

John sees the pure river of the water of life flowing from the throne of God and the Lamb.

2. The Tree of Life – Revelation 22:2
KJV 2 In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. CEV 2 Then it flowed down the middle of the city's main street. On each side of the river are trees that grow a different kind of fruit each month of the year. The fruit gives life, and the leaves are used as medicine to heal the nations.

The tree of life bears fruit continually, and its leaves bring healing to the nations.

3. Sin Is Gone Forever – Revelation 22:3
KJV 3 And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him: CEV 3 God's curse will no longer be on the people of that city. He and the Lamb will be seated there on their thrones, and its people will worship God

The curse of sin is completely removed, and God's servants worship Him.

4. We Shall See His Face – Revelation 22:4
KJV 4 And they shall see his face; and his name shall be in their foreheads. CEV 4 and will see him face to face. God's name will be written on the foreheads of the people.

The redeemed enjoy the greatest privilege of all—they see God face to face and belong to Him forever.

5. An Eternal Kingdom – Revelation 22:5
KJV 5 And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever. CEV 5 Never again will night appear, and no one who lives there will ever need a lamp or the sun. The Lord God will be their light, and they will rule forever.

There is no more night because the Lord Himself is their light, and His people reign forever.

Nothing compares with the joy of living forever in God's presence. The relationship broken by sin will be completely restored.

One day our faith will become sight – 1 John 3:2
KJV 2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. CEV 2 My dear friends, we are already God's children, though what we will be hasn't yet been seen. But we do know when Christ returns, we will be like him, because we will see him as he truly is.
..When Jesus appears, His people will be transformed and will live with Him throughout eternity.

- EGW Notes (Paraphrased)

Ellen White explains that throughout eternity the redeemed will continue discovering new depths of God's wisdom, love, and goodness.

Heaven will never become ordinary because God's character is infinite. Every day will reveal fresh reasons to worship and praise Him.

- Conclusion

The greatest reward of eternity is not a place but a Person—Jesus Christ Himself.

- Reflection

Why is seeing Jesus the greatest joy of heaven?

- THURSDAY – Come, Lord Jesus!

- Lesson

The Bible closes with an invitation and a promise. Jesus assures His people that He is coming soon, and His followers respond with eager anticipation.

While we wait for Christ's return, God calls us to remain faithful. We are not to spend our time guessing dates or becoming discouraged by the troubles around us. Instead, we are to grow closer to Jesus, serve others, and live each day with the confidence that His promises never fail.

John ends the book of Revelation with words that have encouraged Christians throughout the centuries.

Read Revelation 22:6-21
KJV 6 And he said unto me, These sayings are faithful and true: and the Lord God of the holy prophets sent his angel to shew unto his servants the things which must shortly be done. 7 Behold, I come quickly: blessed is he that keepeth the sayings of the prophecy of this book. 8 And I John saw these things, and heard them. And when I had heard and seen, I fell down to worship before the feet of the angel which shewed me these things. 9 Then saith he unto me, See thou do it not: for I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren the prophets, and of them which keep the sayings of this book: worship God. 10 And he saith unto me, Seal not the sayings of the prophecy of this book: for the time is at hand. 11 He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still. 12 And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be. 13 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last. 14 Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city. 15 For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie. 16 I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star. 17 And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely. 18 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: 19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book. 20 He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus. 21 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen. CEV BibleGateway. com: Search for a Bible passage in 75 languages and 233 versions. CEV 6 Then I was told: These words are true and can be trusted. The Lord God controls the spirits of his prophets, and he is the one who sent his angel to show his servants what must happen very soon. 7 Remember, I am coming soon! God will bless everyone who pays attention to the message of this book. 8 My name is John, and I am the one who heard and saw these things. Then after I had heard and seen all this, I knelt down and began to worship at the feet of the angel who had shown it to me. 9 But the angel said, Don't do that! I am a servant, just like you. I am the same as a follower or a prophet or anyone else who obeys what is written in this book. God is the one you should worship.

The angel assures John that these prophecies are true and trustworthy, and reminds him that only God is worthy of worship.

2. Jesus Is Coming Soon – Revelation 22:10-12
KJV 10 And he saith unto me, Seal not the sayings of the prophecy of this book: for the time is at hand. 11 He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still. 12 And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be. CEV 10 Don't keep the prophecies in this book a secret. These things will happen soon. 11 Evil people will keep on being evil, and everyone who is dirty-minded will still be dirty-minded. But good people will keep on doing right, and God's people will always be holy. 12 Then I was told: I am coming soon! And when I come, I will reward everyone for what they have done.

Jesus declares that His return is near and that He will reward everyone according to their choices.

CEV 13 I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end. 14 God will bless all who have washed their robes. They will each have the right to eat fruit from the tree that gives life, and they can enter the gates of the city. 15 But outside the city will be dogs, witches, immoral people, murderers, idol worshipers, and everyone who loves to tell lies and do wrong. 16 I am Jesus! And I am the one who sent my angel to tell all of you these things for the churches. I am David's Great Descendant, and I am also the bright morning star. 17 The Spirit and the bride say, “Come!”Everyone who hears this should say, “Come!”If you are thirsty, come! If you want life-giving water, come and take it. It's free!

Jesus, the Alpha and the Omega, invites everyone who is thirsty to receive the water of life freely.

4. A Warning to Remain Faithful – Revelation 22:18-19
KJV 18 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: 19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book. CEV 18 Here is my warning for everyone who hears the prophecies in this book: If you add anything to them, God will make you suffer all the terrible troubles written in this book. 19 If you take anything away from these prophecies, God will not let you have part in the life-giving tree and in the holy city described in this book.

God warns against changing His Word and calls His people to remain faithful to His truth.

5. The Final Promise – Revelation 22:20-21
KJV 20 He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus. 21 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen. CEV 500 Internal Server Error nginx

Jesus promises, "Surely I am coming quickly," and John responds, "Even so, come, Lord Jesus!"

The Bible ends with hope rather than fear. God's final message is an invitation to trust Jesus and look forward to His soon return.

Jesus is preparing a place for His people – John 14:1-3
Then we will be together.
..Every passing day brings us closer to the fulfilment of His promise.

- EGW Notes (Paraphrased)

Ellen White explains that God's people should live each day expecting Christ's return while faithfully carrying out the work He has given them.

Looking forward to eternity should inspire holy living, joyful service, and complete trust in God's promises rather than fear or anxiety.

- Conclusion

Jesus says, "Surely I am coming quickly." May our hearts respond, "Even so, come, Lord Jesus."

- Reflection

Why should Christ's return fill believers with hope rather than fear?

Reveal Suggested Answer

- FRIDAY – Further Thought

- Lesson

The promise of eternity changes the way we live today. When we remember that this world is temporary, we learn to value the things that will last forever.

God calls us to invest our lives in knowing Him, serving others, and sharing the hope of the gospel. Every act of kindness, every word spoken for Christ, and every step of faith has eternal significance.

As we keep our eyes on Jesus, we can face life's trials with courage because we know that a far better future awaits all who trust in Him – Romans 8:18

CEV 18 I am sure what we are suffering now cannot compare with the glory that will be shown to us.
..The glory to come is beyond anything we can fully imagine.

- EGW Notes (Paraphrased)

Ellen White reminds us that heaven is the home for which every believer should be preparing.

The redeemed will spend eternity growing in knowledge, joy, and love as they continually discover more of God's character. Every sorrow will be forgotten in the presence of Christ, and endless ages will be filled with praise and thanksgiving.

- Conclusion

The best is yet to come. Jesus has prepared an eternal home for His people, and His promises will never fail.

- LESSON SUMMARY

Into Eternity

This week we learned that God's people have a wonderful future because of Jesus Christ. He has promised to return, raise the faithful dead, gather His people, and create a new heaven and a new earth where sin, suffering, and death will never exist again. As we walk closely with Christ today, we can face the future with confidence, knowing that the greatest joy of eternity will be living forever in His presence. Until that glorious day, we continue looking upward with hope and praying, "Even so, come, Lord Jesus."
